Bay Area remodeling contractor and custom home builder Bill Fry remodeled and expanded this Los Altos ranch home with a five hundred square foot addition. While this Los Altos custom home appears to be new construction, it is considered a remodeling project because some of the original foundation and framing remain. The architectural stone masonry on this traditional Los Altos home remodel is made of Eldorado stone while the walkway is made of real stone cut onsite by our master mason. This luxury home now has raised 9-foot ceilings or vaulted ceilings. The dining room has a recessed ceiling, called a tray ceiling or coffered ceiling, with LED rope lighting. Careful planning permitted the pocket sliding doors to have light switches on both sides. The large laundry room (mud room) with exterior entrance has custom cabinets that match the rest of the custom cabinetry in this fine Los Altos custom home remodel. The custom built-in cabinetry and fireplace mantel in the living room was designed and fabricated by our construction company.
