Bay Area Kitchen Design
Purebond Quality Kitchen Award Winner at the International Woodworking Fair 2012
This Bay Area kitchen design features Anigre custom cabinets from our artisanal cabinetry shop. The vertical grain veneer is matched from the crown moulding to the cabinet base. A challenge for this Bay Area gourmet kitchen design was to maximize usable space while retaining the original footprint. The quarter-sawn oak hardwood flooring in a herringbone pattern with a walnut border installed by the woodworking enthusiast homeowner about 25 years ago has been brought back to its original luster. The homeowner also crafted the cabinet handles from Macassar Ebony and stainless steel. Between the granite countertop and crema marfil backsplash, an aluminum edging adds interest.
This Silicon Valley kitchen design offers accessibility features such as a foot pedal to open the garbage cabinet, a pullout spice shelf, and a Hafele magic corner. High end appliances are by Gaggenau, Viking, Sub-Zero, and Miele. The Blanco stainless steel sink is flushmounted with the granite countertops.
